AS I was going to use ‘what people throw away and how it defines them’ as my theme, i’ve started to experiment with it on photoshop. But I reaaaaly can’t seem to get anywhere with it, it just looks messy and my illustrations are too small and I don’t have time to redo them all. As i’m pretty happy with how my archetypes look on their own, i’ve decided to just use them like they are. The only thing is that now my archetypes don’t appear to have a set theme, although they do tie in well with the artists i have looked at. Hopefully this is enough to make them work together!

Found an illustrator called Ai Tatebayashi whilst exploring 3x3mag that ties in well with the archetypes project. It’s a similar feel to what I was going for.

These where my logo designs for the logo brief. Having looked back and compared to others I do think I could of edited and gone a bit further with it, but never mind!

TEACHER - I based the teacher upon ones I had in school, as well as also finding some images for inspiration.

ADDICT

For the addict I wanted to create a ‘Heroin chic’ character, a model who has dark rings under her eyes from frequent use of heroin

Overall i was really happy with my web and motion piece. I had decided relatively early on to make it a northern quarter-ish themed cafe/restaurant. I went out into Manchester to film some footage, but it all just seemed kind of dull and uninteresting. it just so happened that i was very lucky to go on a trip to Paris during the making of my motion piece, which i thought would be an excellent opportunity to get some footage! This then gave me the theme of a cool contemporary Paris cafe! With this in mind and my footage, putting the website together was quite easy. I looked into loads of sites I liked, and used one as a pallet for the colour scheme I was aiming for. Then after that I knew what kind of look I was going for, and the rest just fitted into place! Overall i am really happy with it, I particularly like my website, I think it was the most enjoyable to make and put together due to the fact I knew the direction in which I was heading! I really liked this brief due to the timing and how spread out it was, it felt very relaxed and less pressured!
